This project originated from the fact that my 38" swampers dug into my quarter panels when flexed out. I built blocks that would relocate my rear axle 1.5" rearward. they are also 1.5" tall and have a 5 degree taper to corectly establish my rear pinion angle. they were machined from 7075 aluminum and are a full 3" wide. they worked out better than i ever expected. in the picture you can see how the axle now sits 1.5" BEHIND the leaf spring centering pin.
